Chairman’s message:
“As spring arrives so Big Local SW11 is gathering momentum!
Our intergenerational programme is beginning to expand and we are looking at new ways to connect with people who are isolated.
A pilot Community Leaders Exchange project has successfully brought together nine organisations to share knowledge and experience and is now a regular event.
The Building Futures Advisory Service continues to support people back into work, work experience and/or volunteering; and our Community Fitness programme has started to deliver impressive results.
February saw the second of our Battersea Together Events “From Words to Action” (link below) and we hope to be able to build on this to develop new partnership based initiatives that aim to remove barriers that prevent people in our patch from reaching their potential for work, for training and for engaging with the wider community.
Finally, our March Partnership Committee meeting began preparations for our next Annual Programme and Budget, due in September; an opportune time for you to reconnect with the Big Local SW11 team!”
