Come tomorrow and check the art work produced by the Wow Mums intergenerational project we created last March. This art class was funded by Big Local SW11 and organised by the Women of Wandsworth.
See locally inspired art
Locals art will be popping up at Mason’s Arms and Magic Garden. Work by aspiring, emerging and professional artists will be shown, including a small art market on 7th and 8th May at the Magic Garden, both afternoons from midday.
See new sketch and collage studies made by local mothers and children, highlighting their views on dog mess; excessive urbanisation; housing and inequality. Ages 5 to 55 created the work during a recent Happenings art workshop hosted by Women of Wandsworth (WoW) at Haven Lodge sheltered accommodation in Battersea. A selection will be shown to the public for the first time at Locals on 7th May.
